Rachael Ray defends FHM sizzle shots: 'I'd do it again tomorrow'

Rachael Ray defends FHM sizzle shots: 'I'd do it again tomorrow'

Rachael Ray defends her sexy and provocative 2003 layout — for lack of a better term — in FHM.

Seems she thought it was Food and Home Magazine.

Not For Him Magazine.

In an interview that airs tonight, she says: "I'd do it again tomorrow!"

"I thought if I'm gutsy enough to do this, this is a good thing for everybody," she says. "This is the everywoman, here she is. And I thought, what the heck? I asked my husband what he thought of it and he said, 'Oh, kinda cool.' And I did it, and it was the most scared I've ever been, and I wouldn't change a thing. I'd do it again tomorrow."

Ray also said her mother is still "furious" over her shoot.

Watch the interview tonight 11:35 on ABC News' "Nightline," in which Ray reveals the origin of her famous phrase "EVOO," defends her endorsement deal with Dunkin' Donuts, and explains that she is "not a chef."

Yeah, we knew that.

For more of Rachel Ray's sexy FHM shots, keep reading ...

Rachael Ray spoke to "Nightline" co-anchor Cynthia McFadden recently, and she defended (among other things) her decision to pose provocatively in lad mag FHM.

"I thought if I'm gutsy enough to do this, this is a good thing for everybody," Ray said of being 35 and asked to pose in the magazine in 2003. "This is the everywoman, here she is. And I thought, what the heck? I asked my husband what he thought of it and he said, oh, kinda cool. And I did it and it was the most scared I've ever been and I wouldn't change a thing. I'd do it again tomorrow."

Ray also said her mother "remains furious" over her decision to participate in the shoot, and that she initially thought FHM stood for "Food and Home" not "For Him Magazine."

In the interview, which airs tonight (Monday) at 11:35 ET on ABC News' "Nightline," Ray also discusses the origin of her famous phrase "EVOO," defends her endorsement deal with Dunkin' Donuts, and explains that she is "not a chef."

Joe Namath

Joe Namath

Joe Namath
Joseph William Namath (born May 31, 1943, Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania), also known as Broadway Joe or Joe Willie is a former American football quarterback. He played for the University of Alabama under legendary coach Paul "Bear" Bryant and his assistant, Howard Schnellenberger, from 1962?1964, and in the American Football League and National Football League during the 1960s and 1970s. Namath played for the New York Jets for most of his professional career, but finished his career with the Los Angeles Rams. He was later elected to the Hall of Fame.
Namath retired after playing in 77 wins, 108 losses and 3 ties. In his career he threw 173 touchdowns and 220 interceptions. During his thirteen years in the AFL and NFL he played for three division champions (the 1968 and 1969 AFL East Champion Jets and the 1977 NFC West Champion Rams), earned one league championship (1968 AFL Championship), and one world championship (Super Bowl III).
In 1999, he was ranked number 96 on The Sporting News' list of the 100 Greatest Football Players. He was the only player on the list to have spent a majority of his career with the Jets.
He is known for brashly telling the media that he guaranteed that his team would upset Don Shula's NFL Baltimore Colts in the third NFL-AFL Championship Game in 1969, and then delivering on his promise.

Joe Namath isn't into the bling. He rarely wears a wristwatch or jewelry and he dons his Super Bowl ring only for special occasions. But sometimes, in a nostalgic mood, he'll take out his championship ring and just stare.
"I'll take it out of the box every now and then, look at it and feel it," Namath said Tuesday in a phone interview. "I can't describe the feeling. There's just a feeling that runs through you." more>>

OCC is the largest of Michigan's community colleges. Most of OCC's campuses are the same size as other Community Colleges.

The athletic teams are known as the Raiders and compete in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NCJAA) and the Michigan Community College Athletic Association (MCCAA). Men's varsity sports include basketball, cross-country, and golf; women's varsity sports include basketball, cross-country, softball, tennis, and volleyball; men's club sports include soccer.

The New Yorker magazine

200px-New_Yorker_cover The New Yorker is an American magazine that publishes reportage, commentary, criticism, essays, fiction, satire, cartoons, and poetry. Starting as a weekly in the mid-1920s, the magazine is now published 47 times per year, with five (usually more expansive) issues for the remaining two-week spans.

Although its reviews and events listings often focus on the cultural life of New York City, The New Yorker has a wide audience outside of New York. It is well known for its commentaries on popular culture and eccentric Americana; its attention to modern fiction by the inclusion of short stories and literary reviews; its rigorous fact checking and copyediting; its journalism on world politics and social issues; and its famous, single-panel cartoons sprinkled throughout each issue.

Remote area medical

  • Mission

The Remote Area Medical® (RAM) Volunteer Corps is a non-profit, volunteer, airborne relief corps dedicated to serving mankind by providing free health care, dental care, eye care, veterinary services, and technical and educational assistance to people in remote areas of the United States and the world.

Founded in 1985, Remote Area Medical® is a publicly supported all-volunteer charitable organization. Volunteer doctors, nurses, pilots, veterinarians and support workers participate in expeditions (at their own expense) in some of the world's most exciting places. Medical supplies, medicines, facilities and vehicles are donated.

RAM History

The vision for Remote Area Medical® developed in the Amazon rain forest where founder Stan Brock spent 15 years with the Wapishana Indians. He lived with the pain and suffering created by isolation from medical care. He witnessed the near devastation of whole tribes by what would have been simple or minor illnesses to more advanced cultures. When he left South America to co-star in the television series, "Wild Kingdom, " he vowed to find a way to deliver basic medical aid to people in the world's inaccessible regions.

The organization was founded in 1985 and years of research and planning yielded a vast, carefully

developed network of men and women who have come together to make RAM a highly mobile, remarkably efficient relief force. Volunteers are doctors, nurses, technicians, and veterinarians who go on expeditions at their own expense and treat hundreds of patients a day under some of the worst conditions.

Volunteers have provided general medical, surgical, eye, dental, and veterinary care to tens of thousands of people and animals, with 60% of the expeditions serving rural America. There are plans for expansion of US expeditions, an airborne medical treatment center, a permanent clinic site in Guyana, and a program start-up in Africa.

And...there are dreams. Dreams for a comprehensive center of operations.Dreams for learning the medicinal secrets of the rain

forest while teaching a continent how -- and why -- to save it. Dreams for a flying hospital. Dreams of a world where people help each other just because they can.

On March 3 2004, the Senate at the state capitol in Nashville Tennessee passed a resolution honoring Remote Area Medical® for "Compassion and Dedication to providing medical care." Founder Stan Brock is shown here with Governor Phil Bredesen with the award.
